Client desired a distributed audio system on Main Street and Ram Cat Alley to broadcast public announcement and playback music for public celebrations, block parties, and civic events. The client wanted to create a happy and inviting environment in the downtown area.
The use of existing pavilion structures, buildings, and landscape posed several challenges. No underground pathway was available. Power and humidity controlled spaces were either unavailable or not present in place in any location. Annex building located in the middle of Main Street offered only climate controlled environment for critical equipment.
City of Seneca was in search of an AV partner to provide consulting, design, engineering, and installation of distributed audio system with multiple functionalities. Audio balance and clarity was priority to be able to create a pleasant low volume environment while having the ability to produce volume capable of emergency public announcement. Wireless microphones needed for ease of use. All weather speakers, mounting systems, and cabling were required

Superior AV designed, engineered, and installed distributed audio systems in the center of the downtown area. The system is an omni-directional system permanently mounted to the pavilion and building structures on Main Street and Ram Cat Alley respectively. The main rack and control system is housed in the Annex Building and all cabling systems have been supported and routed above ground from structure to structure with no sight line obstructions. Audio is well distributed on the street sides and Norton Thompson Park areas.
